Outlaw Dave's Ranch Ride Tribute

Sacred Ground:
November 05, 2005, what a day, overloaded with band equipment,
heading down Telephone road at six in the morning to rock Stubbs cycles. Our stage, an 18-wheeler,
showed at the last minute; it was on, we kicked into high gear and moments
later Stojan had the mega watt
system cranking out the jams. No time for sound check so
Sacred Ground took to the stage, 8:40 am and the band
is already blowing out the tunes, and every 30 minutes hundreds of bikes filled the parking lot.
We jammed until 10:35 - a two hour set and 1500 bikes later - band note - eat
breakfast first.
Outlaw Dave and the legendary Jim Pruett came up on stage in support of the
ranch, they auctioned two rock hard babes, a bike give away or two, and a gun -
go figure, the
gun got more than the babes. In the end, what a site and sound when over 1500 Harley Davidson's
revved and headed on down the highway for the Balinese. Sacred Ground headed
down too, after tearing down that is, and later that evening, headlined the Bud
Light Stage for another grueling 2-hour set at the Lone Star Rally. I must say,
although it was tough, it was an honor for Sacred Ground to participate in this
historical event and would like to thank 103.7 's Outlaw Dave and Chuck Akers
for the invite, and a special thanks to all you bikers that made it to the rally -
you rock. We would also like to thank our hard working roadies (our kids and
friends) Joey, Tara, Marc, Jessie, J.C., Lindsey , and of course the ladies who
allow us to be hard rockers: Casey, Karen, Melissa, Terri, and Debbie.
Peace!
